by AGuest ini didn't pass the california bar (golly, a lot of my classmates didn't, either!)...
i could only afford a school with an average to mediocre pass rate, so it's no huge surprise.
i will take it again, of course, but i'm not sure if i will take it in february (i really don't have the $$ - to take off from work - or the time to study - while i work).

Like everything else in the jw world, it is for the sake of appearances. They harbor doubts but in order to chastise themselves for it, they are playing in the apostate sand-box with apostate kids. That way when something happens like they cheat on their spouse, or get drunk, they can blame associating with us, get a slap on the wrist and clean their conscience.

Mrs.Chickennest has cancer

the cancer has spread to her lymth nodes and the pet scan indicates a mass on her left lung as well.
the sinus cancer is called sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma.

this used to annoy me no end at the hall... there were these morons doing the bible reading or what have you and they couldn't even pronounce the words.

It is very simple. If an elders wife will not do as she is told by her husband, why is she going to be expected to obey 9 dickbrains that sit on god's throne in Brooklyn? If they let women actually do anything beyond recruiting, the JWs would cease to be the org we all know and love today! A woman's power lies within her mouth I read somewhere. If this is true can you imagine what lies and hypocrisies would be exposed and done away with within individual halls? A strong woman is more than three men can handle! LOL Yea, I think they know EXACTLY what they are doing at Bethel.

Why are the Spanish speaking congregations apparently doing well in the US?
by ThomasCovenant inlast time i looked at the annual society statistics it seemed obvious to me that the more 'developed' countries were recording stagnant or negative growth.. possibly a more educated and more affluent society together with freely available information via media and the internet can explain some of this.. why then are the latin american countries and particularly spanish speaking american's going for the watchtower.
from what little i know i wouldn't class these groups as 'backward' or third world.. any ideas?
is is just the ex catholic community?.

They are filled with scared illegals. They are hoping for some sort of help from the JWs. Usually the sisters offer to help them with this or that. Usually a ride tot eh store etc. Then they guilt them into going to meetings and having a study. These people had no idea how much better off they were back south of the border.
